I just don’t care and it is gross

bringing the television outside (and not in a bell fibre whatever way), sitting by the pool drinking gin and watching a movie about cavemen may have to go on my bucket list

Halfway through this one - love how short the excerpts are, not sure where this is going at all, really just collecting vibes of people so far

The long descriptions of food along with looking up pictures of the unfamiliar Japanese cuisine make me hungry LOL

I was expecting more actual murder (“a novel of food and murder”) but I am liking this approach, Rika’s relationship with both food and people is a little messed up (reminding me of myself at times) and I’m very interested to see what happens…

This is very weird

I am devouring this alongside an Interview with the Vampire rewatch - the parallels are there but so far Maria’s 16th C pov is my favourite for that Spanish /post medieval imagery and religion vs vampire themes, I am interested to see how it will further intertwine with history and our other POVs!

I love you Samantha Shannon I love the way you write I love the way it makes scenes in my brain

reads like a magazine

Okay well yeah get him ?

I am astounded that there is no map in this book

Accidentally engaged to fairie king in the name of research… I’m out here simply studying for my midterms …

I keep starting books and not finishing them… but I am enjoying this immensely…

The narrative structure really works with keeping the suspense taut considering the reader starts basically at the end of her story

Hard to take you seriously Mr Gansey when you are wearing a neon yellow polo and boat shoes ….

It’s been five years since I read this series and I still think about it. Rereading at least this one to feel joy, I’m so excited!!

I don’t know what to expect from this but the writing is beautiful and fun, enjoying so far

This appears to be THE sapphic yearning book oh my god

I don’t really know what’s happening but I’m interested so far…

Bestie is going to be pleased I’m finally reading the great American classic

Puzzle pieces are fitting together so nicely but I am sad to see myself so close to the end

samatha shannon has a massive brain this book is going to leave me dead on the floor
