Fantastic book. Super interesting and provocative ideas on why "empires" colapse under its own weight and through the conflicting interests of the individual and the society, and how religion allowed for individuals to act in alignment to the best interests of the society / human race even at the expense of the individual itself.

Sem precisar de chavões ou conceitos complexos ele consegue mostrar de forma simples por que o “direcionamento da produção” acaba levando ao autoritarismo e eliminação das liberdades individuais… e por outro lado, por que a competição livre é a melhor alternativa / chance para prosperidade individual e coletiva…
