I've been reading other books between the books included in this anthology

This is a good set of stories. The characters are believable, the story is well thought out, and there's plenty of action.

This is a good combination of Harry Potter and Dragonriders of Pern. I liked the characters and the story. There is plenty of action. All well described . This was well worth reading.

It was an interesting series.I found many parralels to Star Wars. You could make the case for this being the start of the Jedi and the Empire. It might be worth reading just for that.

Very good classic epic fantasy.

I moved from Arkansas to Texas last year. This book has been packed in storage for over a year. I'm finally reading it again. I can't say I'm really enjoying it. Rather than writing his life story in chronological order he dictated it in a stream of consciousness manner , speaking of one random subject, then when he finished, or grew tired of it, switches to another unrelated event, etc.
