Ready for this one to hustle along. The fantasy parts are getting to be a bit much for me.

I don't think I've ever seen a show she was in, but was interested in learning more after reading so much praise after her untimely death. It's just heart-breaking reading so much about how badly it seemed like she craved and needed love from boyfriends. Didn't seem like she was able to create much of an independent life.

I snoozed this multiple times because I assumed it would take quite awhile to read, but it's so intriguing that it won't take long to read despite it being 650 pages. I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to figure out what all the hype is about! So far, I LOVE it.

Always a bit intimidating for me to start a book this size. Started the audio book. I had no idea one of the narrators - Jenna Lamia - is the who narrated Raymie Nightingale, which I loved! I'll probably do lots of audio because of this.

This is hard to put down!

So far, it seems as though the author is using the story of a tiger as the central thread to explore the cultural, geographic and economic history of Far East Russia, near the Chinese border. I love the idea!

Considering Talaga's book Seven Fallen Feathers is among my favorites, I'm not sure why it took me so long to read another of hers.

Needed something lighter and requiring less focus while I also read Unreasonable Women. This book fits the bill, as middle grade often does!

Darn it, already crying. I missed the memo that this is a tear-jerker.

Oh gosh, this is hard to put down!

Really fun for readers of this era! A series of essays - brings back many memories but is also teaching me some things I didn't know.

Makes me want to take a return trip to Duluth, Superior, Two Harbors, etc.!

Intro and first chapter really interesting. Second chapter was all about historical apocalyptical beliefs - less interesting.

I think I could read this five times and would continue to learn/retain more each time. Very easy-to-follow writing.

One of two books set in Utah that I'm reading prior to and during a trip. I'll likely not learn too much from this one, but it's the light selection.
