I'm struggling with the choppy narrative and no quotation marks. I feel like there is no depth to anything here. It's leaving me feeling like a Jr high student wrote it. I will carry on because th plot is a good one I think

So I really like the story line of this book but these scenarios with the children just don't seem plausible or realistic. I don't see a 12 year old getting teased about a parent in the military. Just doesn't make sense.

Am I the only one that thinks Betsie needs her head examined? or maybe the parents do for allowing such insane behavior from a 12 year old. I raised 4 girls, never even close to such crazy behavior. "I don't forgive her for letting something happen." Pretty dumb.

I loved these stories. Happy endings, shallow page turning reading. Perfect.

My father recommended this book several times. I shall try them now I suppose.

couldn't finish it. The way it flip flopped back and forth. I couldnt get a good story on the present day side. Too many good books out there to feel lost while reading any one of them
