I forgot how boring this book started out. The narrator's gryphon voice is major cringe.

I know it's the time period but seems pretty gay. Yeager gazing at a man's naked back, explicitly calling out that they're naked and walking to the shower together. I never did the whole sports locker room thing but it just seems hard to believe two straight guys chatting naked.

The description of Angron is so sad. I'm an Emperor fan but he really should have done something about the butcher's nails.

The fact that there are two other Abyss ships makes the Battle for the Abyss book feel less impactful

The percentage is a guess, I'm on audiobook. This book has been a bit of a roller coaster. The Royal brother seemed very adults and was like coming to terms with having a twin but then he's just evolved into pranking. This also has some princess diaries DNA at least from the TV movie. At one point the commoner brother breaks the antler on a moose figure and shoves it in the figures mouth

I've just started reading this but the author has already made me scream laugh twice. "Royal tot to royal hot." And "the maple crown."

My only complaint so far is that there are too many characters and too many points of view

I don't know about this one. The author has the most unpleasant way of describing people.

I'm guessing at the percentage really. I've got three and a half hours left in the audio book. The virtual voice isn't terrible, it just can't parse out how to pronounce omega or hind. The author has a lit. boner for the words hind brain, like how are the characters so aware of what section of their brain is supplying the impulses, are you a psychiatrist?

I don't know who anyone is and now we're at the Nobel Peace prize for some reason.

It took me exceptionally long time to realize we were in a flashback.

This is a really rough read so far. I know it was published in the '80s but God it is exceptionally dated.

I think coming to the conclusion about the arm sucking spirit was an exercise in magic thinking.
