i’ve been wanting to read this for awhile bc ik this book is like the ult. Cherik™️ representation and what can i say? i truly am a sucker for the husbands/co-founders/co-presidents.

but seriously i already am in love with this database as narrator. i don’t know a ton of moira’s lore, i didn’t even know she was a mutant in the comics. but goddamn did the movies do her dirty, she is fascinating in this!

i have to be honest it’s been tough to get through this fairly short chapter. idk i thought i was gonna love the off campus arc but it just didn’t hit for me. it feels like the narrative took a weird turn. by weird ig i mean confusing and/or too severed from the academia vibe. i think if this was a permanent shift and we were given the rest of the book to adjust to the new environment it’d be fine…

took me until the last line ab ppl at drayton “not being quite right” to clock that it was probably benedict’s aberration that took advantage of lennon like that

right when i was finally starting to trust blaine… i figured she was assigned to spy on lennon or something up until the overdose. then i had like five pages to be like “aww i luv their friendship” before weird shit starts happening.

at first, i assumed lennon must be sharing dreams with dante of his memories but now i have a theory that it’s that william kid that created the separate “dimension” of drayton.

an interrupted story- something i’ve experienced a few too many times, conceptualizing stories and forgetting how i even wanted them to really begin. still, there’s something endearing and nostalgic about how he renters the story as if to “make amends” with the forgotten characters and the forgotten town. even against the notion that you’ve ultimately failed them by not finishing what you started.
