jumping into this now, i love reading literary criticism tbh

I have only nine reviews left to catch up on it & it's literally all my favorite books from the past months (*coughs* years, Heart of Darkness is still staring at me accusingly, but besties you will get the review of the century, if I ever get around to it!)—but then there's also Martyr. Which was just bleh, & which I literally have no thoughts on. It was such a non-book for me. We'll see how that goes.

i've been furiously catching up on my reviews these past three days (on my time off, woop woop), and it made me realise how much i miss this game, man. but i simply don't have the time/ brain capacity to do this consistently anymore, ugh. :( 21 reviews down, 15 to go. lfg.

loving it thus far. 😭💖

I looove the first book in the series, and really dislike the other three I've read, however, I found the missing books in gorgeous old German editions in a little free library and had to pick them up. We'll see how this goes.

I will never tire of the Glass family. Can't wait to figure out why Seymour left his bride at the altar, lmao.

The actual plot is a bit hard to follow, trying my best though.

great palate cleanser after the tomfoolery that was nolan's odyssey

every glass family story is crack right into my veins; the rest of the stories ... not so much!

oh we are so backkk, babyyy

Freud would have a field day with Bessie Glass. 😭😭 Get out of dat boy‘s damn bathroom, woman!

Sharon's new book is out!!! Let's gooo!

What do you mean there's only the epilogue left?? 😭😭

Had no idea Zooey was a man! Enjoying this so far!

Setting a little TBR for the Easter holidays:

• Franny and Zooey (top priority)
• Kassandra (by Christa Wolf^^)
• The Awakening (I hate reading hardbacks in public, so this might be another great choice)
• Finish Martyr! (but only if I don’t end up hating myselff)

Let’s see how it goes!

I dooooon't like this .... it's putting me in a slump so I'm considering putting it aside for now .... meh

this ain't bad but this ain't good either 😭

it's slowly growing on me ... the plot twist of why roya wet the bed at age 10 shook me uppppp

Not wowed by the start tbh, but I love spending the first hour of my day reading. Maybe it'll become a habit.

I‘m so back in my reading mojo atm. So many good books on my TBR. Considering reading this one next!

Gibt wenig Schöneres, als den Morgen mit Saša zu starten. Aber jetzt erstmal Frühstück.

Starting my 6th book this weekend. The reading getaway was a complete success!

We're nearing the end and I can sense where this is going. Harper & Louise, GET YO GIRL!!!!

This entire book is so BEE STING coded. I LOVE it!!!

THIS IS SO FUN. Harper is my favorite character thus far. She cracks me up.

My "big" read for the weekend. Off to an unhinged, but great start. :D

gonna spend the whooole weekend reading (and eating, of course)

I wanna live in Anne Carson's mind for a day. Not sure I'd survive. But it'd be worth the risk.

Bisher sehr empfehlenswert, auch wenn manches ein wenig plakativ daher kommt.
