This book so far is like a train wreck you can't look away from. While some of it is hilarious most of the time it has me furious with the parents and yet I keep turning pages. I suppose it helps from the first chapter that you know the kids turn out okay even with what most people might consider a traumatizing childhood. Not really sure how I feel about this memoir.

I am thoroughly enjoying the personal glimpses into the different people mentioned. Its one thing to know who Ezra Pound is and actually start getting to really know him through first hand accounts. A Moveable Feast isn't exciting or suspenseful but it does paint a colorful picture of the 1920's Paris written word art scene.

Just a little update. I started this book almost two months ago and I am finally getting to the finish line. I had to put it down a few times because it was getting tedious but I am determined to get through it to the end.

So far I am enjoying the book.

A note for those about to read Chocolat. You might as well have a chocolate stash nearby because by time you are a quarter way through the book your mouth will be watering. I so wish I could transport myself to La Celeste Praline. I want to eat and taste everything Joanne Harris described in this novel!

Didnt even make it half way through and had to stop. It was too scattered and nonsensical even for me. I may go back to it later as I purchased my copy. I got it for fifty cents at the thrift store and I think that is what it is worth at this point in my opinion.
