I am still reading chapter 1 and I am lost. Country names like Atlantis and Macedonia are ancient place names on our Earth but in the story I think this is a made up reality with known place names. Then we have the Ascendant. I think they are the first born son and daughter but I have no clue what that all means. It really isn't explained. If things don't get better I'm sending the book back to Amazon as DNF.

The Rising Wave by Michelle Diener

Seriously? Chapter 1 isn't over and I am already skipping passages. I fell in love with this series but if this book continues to lack emotion during such emotional, traumatic scenes i may just have to DNF it. The stage is being set and it is like listening to Charlie Brown's teacher...whawha whawha wha wha...Sorry to say but it just feels dull. Only on page 27. I pray the writing gets better.

I am up to chapter 19 and I have got to say I am loving this book Jordan. I love getting multiple POV'S and how flawed and intense the characters are. They draw you into the story and their lives. Above all it keeps you guessing on the killer so far. Characters are relatable. Loving it. Two thumbs up so far. Awesome.

The Goblin King by Lena Maye is story #1 in this 10 short story book. Loved this retelling of Labyrinth. Teaching difference aren't a bad thing. The story really wasn't "adult", nothing gratuitous. It was romantic in its own way. I believe that you could turn this story into a full novel. The author is a pretty good writer. The story flowed and overall was smooth. It was really good.
