Really into the spider/ant aliens storyline. Who knew they could have such complex social structures haha

Sign me up for anything by Stella Riley. Such a comfort read so far.

DNF. The narrator for the audiobook is wonderful and the story is promising but also a bit heavier than anticipated.

What the fuck? I thought this was going to be a light nostalgic romcom. This book is devastating and I can’t stop reading it. If I had the hard copy I would sticky note pages and highlight quotes because the writing is beautiful.

One of my favorite aspects of Ken Follett’s novels is how richly he writes characters and their relationships. I know I’m in for a great story every time I start one of his books, and he never disappoints. Formulaic in the best possible way, I’ll read anything he writes
