And, er, how hilarious is Xie Lan? Nothing to see here, just a little power-lending between friends.

This is hands down one of the funniest and most exciting books that I have ever read.

When I say that I'm devouring this book, what I mean is that I'm emerging every morning utterly wild-eyed, my brain bulging with story, and smudges of fiction all over my face.

That's how much I binge-read overnight, whisper-shouting "Oh my gods!" all the way.

To quote Wind Master, "I'M CALM, I'M VERY CALM, I'VE BEEN CALMING!"

Stalled a bit on this book. Irene Adler has just come on the scene and although I know Col. Moran is running true to form, I cannot like how he talks about her.

I love a good Sherlock Holmes spin-off, and this one is shaping up pretty well! The writing is good, and Col. Moran and Moriarty are turning out to be exactly as despicable and appalling as you could hope.
