DNF - Unreadable. Triggering.

This was an amazing narrative. People all arpund us have many layers,emotions, past and histories. What happens when you welcome someone next door, only to have the carpet pulled out from under your feet soon after.
How do you trust someone? How well do we know who lives next door?

A wonderful complex plot of human relations, lies and a complicated mesh of relations. Welcome to the neighborhood 😜

Amazing plot line complete with South Asian relateability and compassionate characters.
Rishat is a teen torn between herself and what she is expected to be. But how does one 'Be' if one removes the 'self'? An amazing listen/read showcasing the angst of a teen in search of acceptance for being herself, and a stand against the bullying she finds herself and others being target to, for being well, themselves.

This installment of the series has started out a bit more darker and looming. There is an omnious feeling instilled right from the get go. Secrets and deceptions galore... Waiting from them to be unmasked. The story has picked up pace over the last 15%

Re-reading this after a long time.

Omg! The book moved so quickly from mundane to high energy... It has the right ingredients for a total geeky adventure!

There comes an awareness, of oneself and those around you, when you block out the noise of self importance and the charades. 'leave the city and enter the silence of natural environment'

This book has many characters, most of them leaving their own initial impressions, but oh my! Do they change?!!!!

The characterization in this book is realistic.. And brings out genuine reactions. We have all met characters like this in our lives, as relatives, friends or even aquaintances.

Eager to jump ahead.. But its a read-along.. So holding onto my impatient horses 😁

Was just telling my Bestie.. How Miranda reminds me of the Queen of Hearts.. Who wants everyone in their places in 'her world', literally and figuratively.... just the way she likes it! And then I come across this 😁. For someone who wants to be in control, being scrutinizes as they often do others, is the most vulnerable feeling.

The introduction brings to mind 'Murder on Orient express' .. The group dynamics, though almost all of them being friends for a long time... Is dicey. There are a lot of undercurrents.. Giving rise to just as many possibilities 😊.

In the thick of things... Oh boy! Was i wrong about the new character.. And i guess thats what i love about this series.. The unexpected twists and the extremely narrow escapes... Almost to the end and already lamenting that the next and last book of the series is still being written 😬
