Colin is reading New Ideas from Dead Economists: An Introduction to Modern Economic Thought
1. I was bad reader this school year. Too brain fried at night. Gotta work on that.
2. I deep dove into economics a bit to maybe add a teaching license on it
3….I don’t want to read about economics for a bit

Colin is reading The Hardest Place: The American Military Adrift in Afghanistan's Pech Valley
Excellent book. Expertly reported, very readable, but also very dense with information. Really informs you about the reality of the experience of the war in Afghanistan.

Colin is reading The Pullman Case: The Clash of Labor and Capital in Industrial America (Landmark Law Cases & American Society)
Huh, the US government and judges being in the pocket of big business. In the 1890s. Who woulda thunk it.

Colin is finished with Boys Among Men: How the Prep-to-Pro Generation Redefined the NBA and Sparked a Basketball Revolution
Really Enjoyable Read. Extremely well written. Like a 300 page sport feature. I will say that the middle drags a tiny only because the stories of the prep-to-pro basketball players are all very similar. Highly recommended for basketball nerds.

Great book but had to put it down for election season. Going to restart once the next person gives his speech.

Colin is reading The Teacher Wars: A History of America's Most Embattled Profession
Good book but I learned this year that most education writing isn’t for me. I can’t do jargon.

Colin is finished with Vacationland: True Stories from Painful Beaches
This book made me realize that John Hodgeman is one those cultural things that I've been a fan of for basically forever and always forget about. It's the same with the band Iron and Wine too. I always forget I love IAW.I grew up reading JH's fun/silly earlier books and he was part of the Daily Show when I watched it every day. Book was a nice little read too. Nice short meditation on life by an interesting writer.

Yeah. Whatever. I'm seeing the movie tonight. I got all high and mighty on this book I read it the first time, turns out it's pretty sweet.
