Beautiful writing here, but what the hell is this supposed to be about? Don't know! Just a little back story would have been helpful. Like, even a tiny bit. How did the aliens get here? How did they manage to assimilate into American politics? Why do they talk exactly like humans? Don't know! DNF @ page 107, I tried.
