It's been a month since I started reading and I'm barely a few chapters in. In fact, I haven't even picked it up in at least three weeks. The constantly changing narrative really put me off, so I doubt I'll come back to this in the future, but I won't completely rule it out.

Safe to say this is a massive DNF

Just got to chapter 3 and now we're suddenly in third person.

I get the feeling I'm not going to like the writing style of this book if it's constantly flicking between characters AND perspectives...

Picked this up for very cheap at a charity shop; I’m definitely not the intended audience (I am no longer a teen, and closer in age to Carrie than I am to 13 year olds), but I enjoy Carrie’s writing and this will tide me over until I can pick up When the Curtain Falls

Only a hundred pages in and I’m bored. I’m determined to finish it though- I want to see whether it actually gets better. And the plot is somewhat intriguing.

Returning to the World of Lyra’s Oxford and seeing this world through new eyes is like stepping into my childhood shoes again.

I didn't want to DNF this book given how much I enjoyed the first book, but seeing as it's been weeks since I actually picked it up and read I'm gonna stick a pin in it and come back to it at another time
