Very dense mixture of space battles and detective noir (that latter genre has never been my favorite) in the first half, then the midpoint on Eros comes along and suddenly we have a third genre that doesn’t feel like it fits with either of the first two. I’m past it now though, seeing if the second half will bring my interest back.
