Remember loving Middlemarch but this ... ?? My tolerance for detail is pretty high but the number of tangential asides and random detail is testing even MY patience.

So far blowing my mind, and I'm only like 10 pages in. I appreciate a book that makes me feel smart while not requiring too much effort on my part. That rhymed!

OK so much more fun than I was expecting. Ng starts off the book with a bang and I love that the book backtracks, slowly giving you clues as to what happened.

I am a solid "meh" on this so far. I'm kind of over sarcasm, though Irby does drop a lot of truth bombs that I appreciate. But I feel like I'm not in the right space for this right now.

This is not working for me so far. The dystopian premise doesn't feel fleshed out and the teen characters' voices feel too old. A book that relies on concept instead of story. I totally love the concept but it doesn't translate for me.

Farcical, but a lot of fun. I'm skimming some of the unnecessary detail. For when you want to read Jane Austen, but you want the plot to be even more ridiculous and far-fetched.

To be clear, I haven't had any success with Meeks' plan for round 1 with AMS ads, but this is the very beginning and after reading 1/2 of this book, I feel like I have SO much more clarity on how AMS ads work. I'll update after I'm finished with round 2 of ads.

I still don’t hate this book like every other reviewer on here but I’m definitely skimming. Unfortunately, the character development isn’t there and the non-stop action isn’t compensating.

I’m finding his writing very clipped, unorganized, and overly packed with lists of dates. Should I keep going?? His style is driving me crazy.

This book is seriously saving my (vegan) bacon. AMS ads have been a huge source of frustration for me and this book is legit teaching me how to (hopefully) make them my bitch, or at the very least how to make money from them in a way that is thorough and easy to follow. Loving the easy test plans to follow to really figure out what type of ad works for your books.
