This book is touching, sad, lovely in the way that some memoirs painted in short strokes of narrative can be. As a parent with a teenage daughter, I can look ahead in many ways, and hope that my own daughter in her grown-up life touches her peers and colleagues by her actions, and is known in positive ways, which I may never be fully aware of - like Rosenblatt’s Amy.

Very entertaining and a lovely read. What a great protagonist Elizabeth is. I would love to be her friend, if she were real.

Beautifully written and accessible, it’s holding the sleep time interest of my 11 YO with tales of Africa and the development of a young investor who comes from no means and pure ingenuity.

Alli is reading Will
Read this with my 11 year old son last year. Had to edit as we went for language and adult content, but felt it was very readable and likable, despite Smith’s faux-self deprecation that belies an obviously giant ego. Found it entertaining and accessible. Reading about how Smith grew up and what his challenges were illustrated much about the star and people-pleaser (his description) he became.

Couldn’t finish. Too much of a tome for me, but others loved!

Alli is finished with Everything You Ever Wanted: A Memoir
Really enjoyed this book - first half explores challenges of becoming a mother, and the second details in painful but pretty prose how hard it can be to be one.
