halfway through. This book is harrowing. I just go through the part where he talks about sharing good things that happen each day with his fellow hostages. Eli is really an inspiration.

So I saw an arc of a romance book about a Jewish woman who makes a golem to be a wedding date and I immediately snatched it up. And apparently this is one of two golem romances coming out this year. I am so down for it.

Ok, am I the only one who finds this book miserable? No wonder he is grumpy, his life has been awful. This is Book of Job level misery.

Yeah, this book is a really slow read for me. The format makes it difficult for sure.

I'm about 160 pages in and I still can't decide how I feel about it. It's a little tell, don't show and a bit simplistic so far.

I never heard of this book until it showed up on a Morris Awards honors list. Reading it for work. Hope I like it.

Second story not as good as the first, but still good

Ahhhh, this is more like it. After DNF the last book I had at 115 pages, Daniel Ortberg is like a warm hug from an old friend. I miss the Toast so much and the first story of this book was fab. I can't wait to read the rest.
