So far, this book has focused on the beliefs of the early church and the Orthodox Church throughout history regarding the harrowing of hades (Christ’s descent into hell after his crucifixion). Metropolitan Hilarion has provided a wealth of resources to various literature that support his claims, and this book would be an absolute gold mine for anyone interested in the Gospel of Nicodemus and similar literature.
