Kelly is starting Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle
LOL... I see what some of these reviewers mean... The BURNOUT portion is slim and you have to sift through the crap to get any little nuggets out of it. I was curious and had to look up the authors and then it all made sense. The Boomers may be right, it's the blue hair dye lol.

So far... not a fan. I feel like the author is better suited to write a book on their opinions on human rights rather than about libraries. A book club discussion about this book would be more interesting than the contents themselves. Also her little "memoir" pieces of her personal history relating to events issued a "scoff" out of me. I felt she was trying WAY too hard to be relatable.

This series is starting to drag on. And our MC is really not much of a likeable character. I feel the newer additions are more well rounded and fleshed out than the original group. They feel flat and no great character development has really happened. Starting to get really bored of the story and I see this will be dragged on for several more books.

So far, not my favorite. I was excited about this one and the new characters are really awful. This reads like a typical mid series book. The 5th Harry Potter book was also annoying and filled with teen angst and drama. I kinda got tired of all of them at this point. Jake, really needs to get his ego in check. I hope this improves and sets up the rest of the series to be more intriguing.

Finding it hard to push past this... Not my style at all. I'm trying to Audiobook it and I don't think I can. Bratty kids, I know a scheme is coming, our lowly peasant girl will get the prince and save the day. Meh... I see it unfolding already. Boring. And the narrator has a voice like nails on a chalk board with a haughty English accent.

OMG even in Audiobook the progress is slow. I want to like it. The author spends a lot of time describing the setting and conditions of the people and whether they have teeth or not. It's almost like Tolkien describing a tree. About to start skimming to get anywhere in this book.

Still not a great book, but it's short. Maybe I'll finish the last few pages within the next 3 months.

Debating whether I should continue. Life is too short to read bad books. My TBR pile is astronomical. I couldn't care less about this guy with the terrible name. I am skim reading at best. Plus I'm not a dog person so even the one winning quality people have defended in this book has no appeal to me. I'll try to make it to 100 pages before making the ultimate decision to move on.

Not too interested in ANY of the characters so far in this series. Teenage girls with powers, trove of "hot guys", their struggle to balance everyday teenage drama and their new sense of superhero responsibility. Not an intellectual read, but more Netflix-esque binge drama you fall asleep to.

Ehhhh.... kinda skeptical about this one. The unfavorable reviews are starting to reflect on the poor writing of this book. I hate his name, so that ruins it a bit. BUT the writing is so nonchalant that I too don't care about anything going on. Might DNF

So far all of the hype for this has let me down. We are trudging away here and I am so bored reading this to my kids. This has been on our recommended list for a while and I gave in. Hands down my least favorite of her books. My kids are enjoying the fact that we are reading together, but I don't think the story is really sucking them in either. There are way better stories out there. We'll finish I guess.

GREAT new story! Incredible world building and I immediately connected with the characters introduced. This is my first of Michael Sullivan book and I'm already hooked. Tolkien and Terry Brooks would be proud. I also appreciate his process when creating a new series.

Definitely a book for little ones. I'd say so far it ok, I probably will not continue the series but will rather save the book and series for my kiddos to enjoy. Melissa has a distinct voice for a younger audience. I wasn't a fan of the Descendants books (I didn't finish those either). But I think kids will still enjoy the adventure.

*Sigh* Well... I will try to push through and finish this one today, BUT I am slightly disappointed in our heroine. I anticipated her to be broody, but between her and Aspen it is just frustrating. I am ready to move on, which is a shame because she was the Sister I was most anxious to read about. I know Chanda will pull off a great end to the book, but this one is VERY slow and its hard to stay captivated.

Wth is going on? IF I determine I will trek on and decide to finish this disaster, I can almost guarantee it is going right in the "sell" pile. So far, for a holiday book, this is as appealing as a year old fruit cake.

So far.... Another story based around Beauty and the Beast it seems. The character development is ok, I've read the build out 100xs before. Waiting for the hype to come through that has readers buzzing about this series.

Quite honestly I am not retaining this story. I just feel I need to finish it just because. It's been on my TBR forever and right now it is quite boring. I will not be finishing the next book. This will just be counted toward my Reading Challenge.

I can't take it anymore. The narrator is making this a struggle and I have no desire to finish this on my own. I won't spend my free time pushing through this drivel. Yuck.

Wtf is the epilogue of book 2 do we have the main 2 dudes frolicking in the snow having a snowball fight? What the fuck am I supposed to do with this? Most of this book series is ridiculous. The banter is terrible. This is pretty bad. I feel I must continue just because, but the rest of the series will stay off my TBR list. So. Bad. They use words like "canoodle"... *sigh*
