Upon further reflection, I feel I was too harsh on Nigel. I’ve never been in their position and I have no idea how I’d act. I know I wouldn’t be a beacon of hope and honesty. I, unfortunately, would probably also say and do what ever to survive. I stand by my original feeling, but I have enormous sympathy and sadness over the decisions made.

I knew Nigel was a weak man. He was lying to Amanda the second they met. He ditched his girlfriend in Scotland to meet Amanda in Somalia for a freelance opportunity, and still tried kissing Amanda on two occasions. And now he’s telling her “just take this one” and letting her take a beating and the blame. Disgusting. Shameful. Repugnant.
