This is going to be a long book... its normal everyday life of a little girl growin up in a tough world

This story is the Ultimate Survival story... I cant wait to read the other two books... I love how the strong female lead character is in complete control throughout the story! The sisters in the book are the same age apart as my daughters... I couldn't imaging them ever having to go through the horrors these girls did and survived! 5 stars!

Very Graphic... Details are very explicit.... I'm starting to want a happy go lucky romance after this one ... but I do have to say I am liking this book very much!

Hard book man... Gotta say... I dont like it or dislike it... I fell so completely sorry for Margaux and all the children like her... Children are so influential and can easily be brainwashed.... Im not liking the reality of it

I think I am going to have to score this one more on the 4 side than the 3 side... I agree I would have given it a 3.5 just due to the fact there are several un-needed characters... but with me being the character junkie I am I understood exactly why Kingsolver put each of them into the perfectly rounded spectrum of a story... (sometimes- somethings should not have as many coincidental happenings with perfect ending

I am truely at a state of sadness for all the people who have suffered through this huge loss of life, community, and passion. It is amazing how the Japanese (by blood or heart) have stayed strong and have went above and beyond to overcome this great tragedy!!! My Love and Prayers go to you all!!!

Very much enjoyed this book... I am so glad it was chosen for our bookclub book...

3/4 the way there... Almost done.. I love the way this book has taught me a part of history that I know has been there but this book makes it real life and now I understand the truly horrible things these people went through and I would have never imagined that people thought that they could get the "black person" disease... ridiculous... very enlighting

Ok... So Im Loving this book... I like the way I can relate to these people having no experience in any of their lives

It was ok... emotional ending.. wont read it again... did not enjoy much of it at all...
