On the get-go, I love the gothic horror style. The scenes were written in such detail that I can see them play out.

I chide Sarah for even touching the body when it was in the coffin. Of all the things not to do, don’t touch anything until officials look into it. Now you’re a vampire (I think) and now you have to die.

C14: Mor winnows everyone to the townhouse. Lucien surprised to be there, meeting everyone, hearing children laughing. Rhys shows up, orders everyone away. Feyre & Rhys get down to business.

C13: Feyre/Lucien fights brothers on ice, brothers have upper-hand until Cassain/Azriel came; Feyre removes glamour and reveals herself as High Lady of Night Court; escaped to where Mor stood; plans to head home to townhouse .

C12: escaped Lucien's brothers in cave, trekked across mountains to Winter Court; had small heart-to-heart about mates one night; when they thought they were safe - Eris was behind them threatening to melt the ice beneath them.

C11: Feyre/Lucien hide in Autumn Court cave on 1st night. Spent days navigating around the land to get to the Night Court. Both weary about each other's motives. What would have been their last day in Autumn land, Lucien's brothers finds them in the cave.

C10: Twins were behind Feyre's headaches by lacing food with faebane. She kills both of them, plants cover story in Ianthe's mind. Lucien begs to go w/ Feyre to Night Court. Both lose their power to faebane. Only way forward is to Autumn Court through the door in the foothills.

C9: Sentries now on Feyre's side. Was able to pry war information from the twins. When escaping, she found Ianthe abusing Lucien. Feyre changes plans & saves Lucien, punishes Ianthe. But now twins are aware and caught her in the act.

C8: Feyre/Lucien sent the Bogge after the Royal twins. Tamlin goes on rampage & ends up hurting Feyre (though she baited him to do so).

C7: Jurian tells Feyre his plan to get revenge on Miryam for choosing Prince Drakon. Shows sympathy for humans when explaining War story. Knows that Rhys is a good male because of the war & that Feyre is lying. Royal twins got to the Children of the Blessed and tortured them.

C6: Estate gate keys went missing, Feyre suspects Jurian. Ianthe declares Naga around since land around temple & other places are dying. Feyre believes it to be a ploy to regain power. They head out to look at 2nd hole in wall. Jurian finds Feyre/Lucian cozy in tent the next morning. Jurian sees Children of the Blessed at the hole in wall.

C5: Feyre sets trap for Tamlin to find her and Lucien together. Dresses in nightgown and heads over to Lucien’s room for Tamlin to discover them embracing. Her planned worked. 1st step in destroying from the inside.

C4: Summer Solstice celebration. Feyre wondering if Tarquin mentioned their visit to the Summer Court. Feyre upstages Ianthe during ritual, lets sun shine down on herself instead of Ianthe. Lucien plays along. Feyre feigns interest in Tamlin and lets him dance with her.

C3: surveyed wall with Jurian & twins. Lucien slept w/ Ianthe during Calanmai (Tamlin refused to participate). Alis's cuzzo works in Summer Court & told her how Feyre was happy, Alis confronted Feyre to see if she'd tell her the truth about her plans - she didn't. Alis never told anyone how Mor came & got Feyre, Lucien never told anyone how he saw Feyre's ring melted on the floor that day.

C2: Feyre upset that Lucien/Tamlin are going along with Hybern plan to breach wall. Questions inwardly why both are not frantic with Hybern possession of Cauldron. Feyre plan - learn where they’ll strike, how long Cauldron takes to heal. Used mating bond once to check on sisters. Met Hybern twins. Both are daemati. Their walls are of white bone.

C1: Feyre feigns happiness back in the Spring Court. New bedroom across from Lucien’s. Ianthe grovels for betraying Feyre, though she doesn’t believe her. Neither does Lucien. Tamlin sticks by his word and lets Feyre attend every meeting. Jurian plans to visit Spring Court for delegations for Hybern.

Prologue: About holding against Ravennia’s legions. Not sure about the importance of detailing the battle aftermath. Still going to note it. I feel it may be important later in the story.

Background:

C68: Rhysand’s POV - phew, it was only the bargain that was broken and not their mating bond. I love Amren for being passionate and wanting to save Feyre. Ah! Them getting married secretly was romantic. The first High Lady of any court.

C67: Thank goodness they were able to escape! I was wondering how they were going to survive since there was no way out and they were surrounded. I hope that something goes wrong with the queens’ transformation because they do not deserve anything good.

C66: Feyre was quick with her decision and I’m so glad that the Inner Circle knew her enough to know that it was all a ploy. Of course Tamlin would believe it. How is the king powerful enough to break the mating bond? That would make him stronger than Rhysand.

C65: Hybern’s king knows how to speak to appeal to people. He’s cunning and ruthless. The trap he set was perfect and he got them exactly how he wanted. Can’t believe that he even has Ianthe on his side. Stupid Tamlin for not seeing this. I know it’s bad that Feyre’s sisters got turned, but I’d still be glad that they’re alive. Lucien and Elain being mates seems off, but we’ll see how it goes.

C64: I'm drained. The king planned this whole coup so well. I'd be impressed if I wasn't sneering at him being the enemy. How can Tamlin be that stupid. Even Lucien can see it and tried to get his attention. I pray that Feyre's power is beyond being controlled by the King and can use it to get all of them back to safety.

C63: That's it! Tamlin and Lucien are on my hit list. There is no redemption after this. I swear, Azriel better live through this. I'm so mad, I'd throw my book across the room, but good thing I don't want to ruin it.
