My book club tends to send a part 2 when we never read part 1. I hate that. This book is pretty good at updating the reader. Yet not interesting enough to make me want to stop reading and start part one first. Cute train ride fluff so far

That moment you tell a relative you've been SA and they minimize it. Whoa this book is harsh

You know those people that make you beg for information. They say things like , "The other day I did this thing with this gal at that place and stuff happened." So you're supposed to say what thing, where, with who etc etc . So it takes 4 hours to get one sentence resolved. That's this book. All of this important info they wont tell me until I'm about to dnf. I hate it so far

Pages like 197 make me like this book. Then we have 40 characters to keep track of and I start growing weary of it all

There are so many characters and they all have 6 letters in their name. I finally started a list because I just couldn't care enough to memorize them. Im at 30 and I didn't start the list until page 100.

Well, this is fun

I forced myself to put the book down so I get to read it for one more day.

Are we actually supposed to care about these people? There is more focus on how they look than giving them any depth.

Entertaining but now there are about 47 characters and I can't be bothered to keep track of who is who

I just found out I'm reading a Part 1. This better not have a cliffhanger ending. What era is this set in. It feels like almost medieval ish then she puts on running shoes and leggings. I'm confused

So far, this is one of those books I don't want to put down. I see that it's part one, so I will be pissed if I get a cliffhanger

Generically, historic beauty meets generic beauty . She, of 6 quirky and smart. He isn't just a bro. So far, it feels like I've read this before. I wish characters could be more than just generic, mainly white beauty

Does this get better? It feels like a manual on how to shut up , take it, and be compliant

This says it's the first in a series, but it's actually a 4th in the series because it keeps referencing a 3 book series that I haven't read. It's not hard to follow, but it is annoying

This says book one, but it feels like a book 2. I keep feeling like I am missing too much. They keep referring to their past. Was there a prior book ?

I had zero expectations. A Victorian romance sounded grueling. Instead, it's blue stockings, Judith Slaying Holofernes, and the Rookery. I'm loving it

I'm really liking the writing style. There are just so so many characters. When I finally start getting them, they change from using last names to first names. So i had to start all over again. I ended up having to write everyone out on a post-it note.

Page 120 and i finally find out what year ish the novel is set in. Why is this a secret? I'm guessing it's in California? Why hold location and time frame as a secret? I wasted too much thought, trying to guess. Otherwise, it's fun

I finally just gave up trying to keep track of who is the main character in each chapter. The writing doesn't change for each character. Just a name mention and then the word She used until I don't even care who SHE is

I just keep falling asleep. Something happen. So far, they walk all over the place and learn very little and -zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Wow this is a depressing book

I'm on page 214, and they are still building up to something. Please. Anything. I was really enjoying the book, and then it just stuck on building the scene. I like the way the author writes. I just feel like they told her to pad the story out
