Maybe it’s the way the audio is narrated, but I’m finding some elements distasteful so far - the amount of swearing for one. Must be showing my age.

I loved Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the
World so the first part of this novel had me excited that I would enter that world again.

That was short lived. My god the narration is so repetitive and excruciatingly boring. If you have read IQ84 then you know will what I mean.

I’m hanging in there for the payoff but it will take a while. I’m only going to subject myself to a couple of pages a night!

I was hooked from page one!

Interesting, thought provoking but rather repetitive.

A very accessible heroic fantasy novel. Nothing flash but a great story that was an actual page turner.
