Still meh — ughhhh why can’t it get good it has all the ability to be good and yet NOTHING

Finally getting sort of good but this is some masochistic shit. The main characters have 1 singular personality trait and that’s “stubborn” but honestly it reads as arrogant and a little bigotty since they don’t give any context as to what their actual beliefs are or why they feel a certain way. I’m all for a good character arc but close minded isn’t cute…

OK, so I know I’m only 30% of the way through but Kidan has to be one of the more annoying main characters I’ve read. I think this is one of the things when you’re reading characters who are supposed to be younger than yourself she’s 18 so of course she’s gonna be annoying as fuck but she has no perspective in life and that’s I didn’t one of the reasons that I don’t feel attached with her.

I gotta be honest this is not a very likable main character, especially if you are the kind of person that enjoys open-mindedness and values their education. She will piss you off.
