Have you ever read Until I Find You by John Irving? I feel like this book is like that, but much less mention of genitalia.

There's nothing more frustrating than a book with a map that doesn't list the places referenced in the book. Ryazan? Nope. Novgorod? Nada. Odintsovo? Nein. Fuckin' maps.

This book reminds me of a try-hard lover. They love to please, to give so much. So much that it's a tad confusing what's going on; there are too many moves, too much stimulation where maybe it shouldn't be (maybe it should?), a lack of connection...a lover that leaves you feeling aroused but without orgasm, who abruptly leaves you with a nostalgic end-move. An end-move that works for them, not so for you.

Wtf. I know I'm not a genius but please how did this (Mister Squishy) make any sense? It doesn't, right? Right?? RIGHT??!!!

If someone out there sees this and understands the story it just took me 4 days (plus 10+ years) to read, please help me out haha! Hahahaha! Ha! Haha! Haaaaaa!

This book is killing me. It's so boring. Names are too similar, too much geographical blahbedyboo with no map or general idea/care of where is being described. I don't care what people are eating and drinking to this extent unless it contains poison. I cannot wait to move on from this book.
