I will finish this book, but this story is more sad than anything. Christine knew from the start that Kody was “less than” and this book reads as a diary of her thoughts/feelings. For 27 years she knew he was not attracted to her, put her 2nd/3rd/4th, was more concerned with his narcissistic self, didn’t put her children first, yet she repeatedly tells it as it’s the first time she’s really realizing it.

What started out as a promising story has taken a wrong turn into stupidity. I will finish only because I have spent a good chunk of time and in hopes, it doesn't continue fully in this trajectory. Should it continue in this way, it will be a 1-star rating for me.
