This book is actually genuinely amusing/funny. So rare! :-P

I'm struggling to get through this one. It has a so many characters and I'm finding it hard to work out what the actual mystery is!

Truth in advertising... This guy is awful. Seriously repulsive.

The dialogue between adults here is sooo ye-olde and convoluted it is almost painful to read. However, the rest of this book is pretty engaging and the kids are still following along - even the almost 9yo boy who would prefer to be reading Harry Potter.

Peter Temple has died. His crime thrillers were fabulous and he had a particular knack for the portrayal of a certain type of Australian males.

Oh no! I read the sample and then bought this book and almost immediately realised I don't like it. A romantic 'comedy' that doesn't actually make me laugh.

A very violent but satisfying end to the trilogy.

Oh the magnificent Adrian McKinty - I'm enjoy this fast moving, violent thriller very much. Unfortunately I think this is the end of the series :-(

I'm reading Heidi to my children and just had to stop tonight because I was so upset about Heidi being taken away by Cousin Dete.

This was the first chapter book I read when I was little.

This book. It's a bit disconcerting. All this shit these mothers talk about... that's shit I talk about with my friends, their concerns are my concerns. I have children this age in an Australian public school in a middle class suburb. My next book club meeting is going to be awesome.

I think my boss likes to 'say it with books', we happened to go into a secondhand bookshop so he could buy Confederation of Dunces for a client (!) and he bought me this one even though I had JUST told him I almost exclusively read romance and police procedurals.
