I'm loving this! It really is a page turner (what's the equivalent when I'm listening to the audiobook version?) Infiltrating a cult is a brilliantly interesting concept.

Argh!!! I can't believe I'm struggling to get this book finished. I thought I'd love it. I really don't.

The audio book I am listening to is performed by Andy Serkis. What a treat!

Weird that someone showing minor signs of the flu (pre-outbreak) would be taken to the emergency department at the hospital. Slight plot hole I think.

I'm not really loving this book. It seems extremely drawn out and unnecessarily long.

Addictive!

This women behaves pretty oddly for someone who has no idea where her husband is. I've been more upset over my cat being missing. I really seriously doubt you would be trying to work and wondering if certain police officers were in a relationship or not when you have a loved one missing without a trace for over 48 hours. Are you serious? Pretty bad, but I will persevere.

Having trouble keeping tabs on who is who.

I want to understand what is supposed to be so remarkable about Jordan Peterson. The book is not helping me discover this. I just find him extremely rambling, long winded and not really saying anything. I doubt I'll be finishing this book.

Well this is very unfortunately reading like some sort of spoof version of it's former self. Really awful and disappointing.

Thoroughly absorbing so far. Lovely atmospheric writing.

Oh dear. I've come so far but finishing has become quite a chore. I don't care about any of the 1 dimensional, boring, entitled characters and it seems there will be no consequences for what they have done, and there are no exciting Ancient Greek secret classes at all. Not a lot is happening. I feel like the entire book is false advertising.

So it"s the author reading the book. Oh dear. Also only 50 %???? This book is very very very slow. It feels like I have just listened for 12 hours for something to finally happen and I can't imagine there could possibly be another 50% more story to go. Horrible, unbelievable characters. The mystery of this book is why it is so incredibly popular. But I do like the writing I suppose or I would have given up long ago.

I have an issue with the audio book narrator being a woman who is reading for the first person male character. It is an odd choice and she is incapable of maintaining anything like a male voice for more than half a sentence. She is also doing the most idiotic voice for another male character who she has sounding like Bugs Bunny. OMG it's hideous torture to my ears.

This is great. I'm very excited to say I have found a good one at last! Superb narrator too. I think that makes the world of difference in an audio book. It's a performance, not a droll reading of the page. This book has just a hint of Terry Pratchett about it. I love this author.
