I think it is very childish of an author to do a whole Tiktok showing the one -two stars of their book. Reading is subjective and you are not going to get five star glowing reviews all the time. You see why you got their 1-2 star reviews, take the criticism inside those reviews and make your work better.

The audiobook want to act up towards the end. I guess I read the last part.

The only thing Mark do is cry, give her babies, and make dumbass decisions. That's it.

I think Cleo is five seconds away for telling Mark "Man Up!!"

I honestly like how this was told. How Cleo is telling the story in her own words and sometimes gets ahead of herself. I don't considering it as her "spoiling" anything because in her mind, you should already know the major details of her story anyway. You should know what happen to her, J.C, M.A, if you took a history class, watch movies or plays about her life. She's telling the finer details that people missed.

It is good so far but it just slow. We are at 46 BC right now at almost 60% in and we still got 16 years of her reign left. Marc just been mention in passing but I think we almost at the point that J.C is about to get stabbed and Marc enters her life. Cleo don't play about her child at all. Charmion is her ride or die for real.

Even though I am absolutely loving Adjoa Andoh narration(which makes the book come alive), I can't stand her voice for J.C. I am imagining a very old bald headed short dude.

I understand why the two versions that I watched of Cleo ( Liz Taylor Version which I have the dvd and just recently rewatched during TCM's 31 Days of Oscar and the T.V Mini Series with Timothy Dalton and Billy Zane which I wore that vhs out) pretty much starts when she meets Julius Caesar ( Happy Belated Ides of March). I 'm trying to hold on until she meets him but I'm bored already .

The way this is told ( Cleo telling the story to us like a Memoir) the way I wish I, Medusa was told.

This book has plot holes bigger than Swiss Cheese.

Age your characters up to late twenties and early thirties but still act like two horny teenagers....

I'm trying to finish by tomorrow since I am dragging my feet but this book is soooo undercooked. It has a good idea but so undeveloped.

Lucien supposed to give Mamoru Chiba/Tuxedo Mask vibes ( which is pretty much how this book has been marketed as such) but I'm getting Erik/Phantom of the Opera Vibes with this white mask that covers half his face like Erik does. Mamo's Mask just cover his eyes like Batman.

I can't belive I am saying this because I'm a fast pace girle but the pace of this is too fast in the sense of revealing certain things. Like I expected the FMC real identity to be the best kept known secret(aka the FMC doesn't realize that everyone knows who she is while she is trying to keep it hidden) but not revealed this early in the book.
