This started so well and just meandered its way to an ending I suspect I won’t like

This reminds me alot of Britt Bennett’s “The Vanishing Half” in terms of the dual narrative.

Quite engaged by this one so far and I didn’t expect to be !

Catching up on last years Booker shortlist before this years arrives … not sure why I parked this one for so long.

Surprisingly meditative, but what exactly IS it ? Memoir, fiction, an essay ?

I really want to add quotes from this but it’s all too creatively filthy ;)

The creative sweartastic language in this is next level … also is this a thinly veiled profile of a certain president or I am reading too much into it ?
