October pick for book club :)

Currently reading this to better understand a friend's late adult diagnosis of Asperger's. Definitely insightful so far - there's so much I didn't know about something I have heard so much about. Very thought provoking.

I was recommended this by a friend. So far? An understandable, enjoyable read with just the right amount of bitesize facts needed to get you moving along the right tracks.

I definitely don't agree with McRae on the idea you don't need a writer though. Don't skimp! Not even if you decide story over plot! (No, I'm not biased at all)

Cain has repeated the phrase 'At first blush" three times in the last 20 pages, but otherwise, the book is much better. This is the part where she is delving into the (considerable) fieldwork research she did, and it's very interesting to see how much work is still being done in this field.

There's a lot of fluff so far. There's good references and some interesting points, but too much repetition to bulk it out. Hoping this will improve.

Rereading this again before the New Year...
