Finished Part 1, p.228 - The lead up to probably the best character driven novel I’ve ever read. Unapologetically male, unapologetically a western. The characters are so real they feel like close friends of my dad’s that I haven’t seen since childhood.

At almost a thousand pages this is a bit intimidating but here we go…

Chapter 12 - I’ve been looking forward to this for months after seeing ARC reviews. The MFC needs therapy and may just be too much for me. It’s to a point it’s annoying vs entertaining.

Chapter 6 - FMC is unbelievably unhinged. Absolute insanity.

Wow. I hope this book is worth it. I don’t cry over books but this book is visceral. I didn’t even know I was emotionally attached to these characters, maybe I wasn’t. This author’s writing. This should contain heavy trigger warnings.

Kidnapping. Child murder.

Immersive experience with both physical and audio! If you don’t experience this one on audio you’re missing out. (As a rule, I’m not a huge fan of audiobooks.)

5 star vibes. I don’t know why this book isn’t being talked about about everywhere!

“Emma, would you do me the honor of deluding my family with me?” - the absolutely most absurd and yet precious bridge to love ever.

Appears to be working as an elixir to my reading slump! ♥️📕
