There's a chapter set at House on the Rock, a Wisconsin hidden tourist gem near where I used to live. My best friend and I went and it actually is exactly like it's described in the book. Wild and unhinged in the best way.

I don't usually read thrillers and am being reminded why. This is so stupid. At this point I'm rooting for this to be a "good for her" situation because this is the worst nonsense I've read since Girl on the Train. I'm going to finish it because the only thing it has going for it is that it's a quick read, but good grief.
