One-third into it and it's looking very much like all the other Robert Langdon books: Langdon comes across (or is hit over the head with) an earth-shattering secret and he must traipse from one iconic tourist site in Europe or the U.S. to another to uncover the secret, accompanied by beautiful young woman, pursued by villains in the church hierarchy, and when he discovers the secret it turns out to be a total bust.

so many little bios that they all run together

as engrossing as a good novel.

Way behind on my reading. I'm in the midst of eye surgeries -- cataracts and some minor retina repair -- and I'm not healing as fast as I'd hoped. Can't read for very long at all and it's very frustrating.

My year end project: go through all my old paperbacks, post to Goodreads, and decide which to keep and which to give away. Very satisfying!
