I love the theme that courses through this novel… planned life versus unplanned living. It is simultaneously overt and subtle. I think each of us upon examining our own lives can attest to the richness of those unplanned events, yet deeply understand the necessity for our planned existence.

Really slow start, but the story picks up and becomes a lot more interesting after "The Day".
