I can tell this is going to be another raw and heartbreaking, yet must-read, novel

This book was published over 20 years ago. How have I never heard of it until now? It’s fantastic (and so raw and heartbreaking.)

I’m really enjoying the Lisbon setting. And am now curious just how involved the Portuguese were with the resistance. I’ll have to do some additional WW2 research!

Decided to pick a book that focuses on a bakery / baker, and this one had better reviews than the others I found. I was a little bit hesitant to start it, as I’ve been past my WWII phase for a bit now, but you know what? This book is really good!

Soooooo good!!

I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this book but just barely in, and I’m already hooked. Usually takes me reading about 30% to get into a book.

This is proving to be a very enthralling story. It’s quite fast-paced so I am having to rewind my audiobook & re-listen more often than I ever have with an audiobook. Might need to fully switch to Kindle!
