You would think that a city as colorful and vibrant as Naples would feature more in this book. It's as if the narrator/author doesn't even see the city. Some would say that the universality of the novel is what is appealing but what is the point of reading a book that takes place in Naples if it could just as easily be set anywhere in the U.S. Where there is a beach.
