Somewhere between a 3 and a 4. Parts I liked, parts I didn’t, but I’m too burnt out to write a full review.

But overall, I enjoyed it. It was just long. So long.

I knew exactly what was going on way too soon. No surprises. I read this through in one sitting, so it wasn’t all that boring, and the writing was pretty decent… I just hit the end hoping for something else to happen. And I felt that way a few times throughout, as well.

I really struggled through the first few chapters. It just wasn’t grabbing me. I suppose at some point I adjusted to it. While the prose was overall fine, sometimes the biggest word isn’t the best word. And some words just aren’t meant to be used as adjectives in odd ways. My main complaint? I was bored most of the time.

Rereading this to finally finish reading the series…
