A book stuffed with the bits and pieces of everyday life that builds a character and his environment more real than I have ever experienced.

The 'Lonesome Dove' series is one of the highlights of my reading. I suggest that if you want to read the book 'Lonesome Dove' do yourself a favor and start at the beginning of the narrative with 'Dead Man's Walk'

My loving grandmother, who was an avid reader of books with covers of young curvaceous women being passionately clutched by muscular men, missing the buttons to their shirts, told me this was her favorite book. It took my awhile to get around to reading it, and I'm very glad I did.

Recommend, fascinating.

I was a little dubious, but this book is filled with the simple reminders about making strong art, points that all artist know intuitively but forget or work with subconsciously. Straight forward, practical and helpful to any maker, be it musican or chef.

Didn't want it to end! Loved the cat, the partners of Naksta and Hishino. Very cinamatic in its pacing.
