Weakest chapter so far. It broadly makes an interesting point, but I’m wary of any psychology/anthropology talking about “alpha males” and at its worst the framing of this topic borders on “when they go low we go high”. Yes this is about social media but I think some “real world” consequences are also ignored ie post-backlash gofundme’s.

Reading this feels quite similar to reading my twitter feed c. 2016-2022 and that’s not entirely a compliment
