This story is so good! Love the world, the writing style, and the characters. I just wish it were a longer book!

I am loving this. I've only read the first story so far, but it was amazing. As a cis person, I did struggle a little with the new gender words (xir in this case) but it was nothing that took me out of the story and by the end, my mind had shifted to reading it without having to stop and reread. I look forward to reading the rest of the stories.

Crisp, economic writing that nonetheless has its own poetry that creates a fresh take on the gumshoe noir tropes. Amazing characters that are complex and messy. Bonus points for casually including queer people without using a spotlight.

I’m loving that it is a murder mystery in a magical private school by someone who isn’t magic.

I've only read the prologue and I am already hooked.
