AS the monster gets smarter and smarter, he understands what the people are saying. He notices that people around him, including his creator hates him and plans for revenge: "Cursed, cursed creator! Why did I live? Why, in that instant, did I not extinguish the spark of existence which you had so wantonly bestowed?" (Shelley, 162). In this quote, he questions his existence since he is upset that everyone hates him.

One interesting quote I found in these pages was: "... my creation and creator I was absolutely ignorant, but I knew that I possessed no money, no friends, no kind of property ... hideously deformed and loathsome" (125). In this quote the monster criticizes himself and knows the difference between a man and himself. He feel the pain that nobody will be comfortable seeing him and calls himself distorted.

As I read towards the middle of the story, the monster is acting extremely weird. He decides to follow and keep track of a family, and "he devoured the remnants of the shepherd's breakfast" (Shelly, 93). However, when he discovers that the family was poor, he finds some food himself and gives the family back the food. From this quote, We can know that the monster feels empathy and knows how to understand others.

In the 1st five chapters of Frankenstein, there were descriptions about the main character Victor Frankenstein. Victor has a different thinking about science. In the first chapter he claims that he created a monster. He collects corpses at a graveyard to create his very own creatures. One interesting quote is: "One of the phenomena which had peculiarly attracted my attention was the structure of the human frame..."

This story is about Erin Law, who lost her father at a young age and also her mother later, but surprisingly thinks she found "Freedom." (Almond, 43). This word got me surprised how she is careless. Erin has a friend called January, which is her best friend to often escape Whitegates and hang out somewhere else. One day they decide to go to the dangerous river, build a raft and sail along, but soon lands in the mud.
