I can't remember what page I'm on but look, every time you sit down to read Love and Rockets it is a delight. Perfect comics. A delightful synergy of words and pictures. And the fact that it's two brothers operating at like, the highest possible level of craft in two startlingly different ways - holy shit it's like if you saw two shooting stars crash into each other, how is this even possible

Issue 2 is dope - Jaime dumps a billion ideas into forty pages that show a mastery of black and white comic craft that is CRIMINALLY PERFECT. The Gilbert story is again the low point, and the third lost Hernandez Bro - Mario - does a solid little story and his art kinda predicts that Jeff Lemire style

Issue 1 - at this point there is concern - it's not that great. The big story by Gilbert is overstuffed and impenetrable, and the Jaime stories look good but aren't that gripping.

Love and Rockets has this rep for being like the actual greatest comic, amongst cool motherfuckers. Issue by issue review in these updates
