I don't like this story mainly for the male character using his abilities against the MC because being able to control my actions means I had no choice which isn't consensual. I like her abilities though it makes for an interesting character and power

Yeah I was hesitating on donating her books but after reading this I remember why I haven't read one in a while. Her kind of writing is good foe those that "comedy romance" but it doesn't translate well in audiobook. When I was younger this would have been my taste which is why I had fond memories of reading her work but now this is no longer my genre. I have other critique but I'll save those for the full review

honest to goddess, i dont know if it's because I'm sick but I'm really tired of how often they spend this book having sex, i mean 7 mins of audio book time of just the preamble to sex then another 10 minutes of sex which is let's be real kind of creepy in the way that it is described, (in all her books not just this one). I feel like I skipped a good chunk of the books because every damn minute they are having sex.
