Enjoying this one immensely, but I keep putting it aside as books from the library become available. Peter Robb is a master of language and a fascinating story teller. That this is non-fiction only adds to the suspense.

Neil Lynch is finished with Great Modern Catholic Short Stories
This collection of short stories is an ongoing read, most recently for Advent 2025. Published in 1942, it might seem out of date to most readers; however, the nuns, religious brothers and priests written about here are reminiscent of the teachers I had going through Catholic school and college during the sixties and early seventies. I relate to them.

Taking a break - this has been slow going.

Neil Lynch is starting The Flower Drum Song
This is an easy story to get drawn into. I had to put it aside when another book, from the library, became available. Getting back into it, I've just finished part one, and am left surprised and saddened. Lee brings his characters and the setting to life. I'm looking forward to continuing the read.

My post-graduate studies were on East Asia. Somehow, I never read this! Starting off very well. Lee knows how to tell a story.

Neil Lynch is on page 75 of 518 of The Arabian Nights
I've read individual stories from this collection over the years; never have I read chronologically, including the detailed story of how Scheherazade came to be with the Sultan Schahriar. Fascinating, so far, although the old English teacher is being somewhat distracted by the spelling and punctuation errors that riddle this independently published text.
