What a surprise! According to the email I received with my Year in Books 2025 I'm a top 5% reader 😊. I would never have guessed.

I've just published my final review for 2025. In December, I will only read books that I've recently bought that do not need a review here from me. I'll be back in January with the first review of the 23 books I have on my list 😊.

I finished my 101st book this year and I'm somehow still way behind. It's not that I request too many books, let alone get approved for, but somehow I haven't had enough time to read these past months.

Since the past week I don't receive any notifications anymore - so I'm sorry if you commented on one of my reviews, or started to follow me, and I haven't replied.
It's a well-know GR problem and until now I was happy it didn't affect me but sadly...

Having recently finished Forget me not and The boy with the jade, and starting with Wolf hour soon, Dead bad is something like a spoom, something to clean the palate before writing my reviews of the first two books ;-).

It is only now I realize that I've never read this book in English before! I read it several times in Dutch and I saw the movie a couple of times. But now, now I'm reading the original version, I like it even more.

One of my favourites by Baldacci. Taking a short break from reading review books on my TBR list.

Due to a family emergency I suddenly had more time to read, but not to write reviews. Or liking other reviews and posting comments. I hope to make up for the lost time soon.

Although I have more time to read, I'm not up to date with my reviews. Simply put: too many unhappy things are going on in my life right now and this prevents me often from having enough inspiration and energy to write.

Will start with this one after I've finished This House of Burning Bones.

Still living between hope and fear my days are often too full (and my head too) to do a lot of reading.

Slowly the first secrets are revealed.

I can hardly believe I missed out on this one, for the series is absolutely great. I treated myself to a copy - and I will of course buy the 11th book in the series too.😉

Only 10% in and iIm loving it already!

I'm about half way... and a bit underwhelmed. How can a book where so much happens in feel so slow?

I read this book sometime in 1997 or 1998 and now, re-reading it for the second time, it's still a very good book.

Very nice, original voice.

This story is taking my breath away.

I'm so impressed with The Forest of lost Souls I don't want to read it in one sitting today. I want to savour this title.
Therefore I decided to start reading another title in the Calladine series; nice books but not so impressive as a Koontz title.

Just finished Dead Wrong. Not spectacular but ok.

I think I'm becoming a real fan of this author!

After a couple of too busy weeks, trying to read more books from my list, I now just wanted something light and easy. This one doesn't disappoint!

It is an absolute joy to read this 8th adventure of Master Mercurius. Cannot stop grinning while reading the very clever and funny dialogues.
